The Ambition for Ageing Equalities Board is commissioning short research projects
The Ambition for Ageing Equalities Board is commissioning short research projects to help fill gaps in our knowledge about some of the more marginalised groups of people aged over 50, who are so far less involved in Ambition for Ageing. Up to £1,500 per project is available.
The Equalities Board are seeking proposals from Equalities Board members, both organisational members and individual members (who can also join together to propose a project).
All the information you need is contained in this Call for Proposals. It includes links to the application form and the Equalities Board report to the Ambition for Ageing July Programme Board.
What kind of research projects are we looking for? Examples include:
- Community research projects – aimed at finding out more about the experience of ageing and social isolation of a particular group
- Desktop research projects – aimed at finding out more by reviewing or drawing together what is already known about a particular issue
- Accessibility projects – aimed at making the Equalities Board and/or Ambition for Ageing as a whole more accessible for a particular group
- Inclusion projects – aimed at getting marginalised people involved and included somewhere in Ambition for Ageing
Deadline for draft proposals: Monday 14th August 2017
Project period: November 2017 to end of February 2018 (4 months)
Shortlisted proposals will go to the vote at our Ambition for Ageing for All event on 26th September. Please mark you diaries for this as we hope to have good attendance from partners!
The Equalities Board is always looking for new members. Can you think of any organisations or individuals who might be interested in joining the Equalities Board, as well as getting involved in the research? If so, please forward them the call and ask them to send full contact details to afa@lgbt.org.uk.
