Community projects funded across Greater Manchester for older people
We are pleased to share a list of projects funded in the first and second round of our Supporting Ageing in Place microfunding programme. Over 100 projects across Greater Manchester have received funding to tackle social isolation, build social connections and make places across the city-region more age-friendly.
Delivery of the projects began in August and it has been great to see activities beginning, with older people from a range of communities getting involved.
Our research on microfunding has shown that a small pot of money can generate significant change within a neighbourhood, so we are delighted to have funded such a wider range of small projects across the region.
*Some projects are tbc; The list will be updated in due course.
