First meeting of LIP takes place
How the very first Local Investment Panel (LIP) met to discuss and agree processes and protocols for moving things forward.
The LIP comprised of residents from each of the three wards - most people had never been involved in anything like this before. A brief guidance session was followed by a discussion on how we should best facilitate the panel.
Everyone was given the opportunity to voice their opinion before each decision was made. One member was then voted ‘Chair’ and asked for a show of hands after discussing each application.
Panel members said they enjoyed taking part in the session and all wanted to continue their involvement and play their part in creating age-friendly neighbourhoods in the local communities.
