Growing older with learning disabilities scaled programme launch - invitation to bid
Ambition for Ageing has today launched a ground breaking programme that seeks to significantly reduce social isolation for older people with learning disabilities. Aware that this community face a unique set of challenges when it comes to social interaction with mainstream society, we are seeking to give them a louder voice in identifying problems and a stronger influence over creating solutions. To this end, inclusive and co-produced research will be a key element of the project.
The work will be delivered across Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside and Wigan. Providers will be required to work with people from across all eight districts. The contract period will be from June 2018 until March 2020 and the contract value is £100,000.
