Macc are looking for someone to work alongside Greater Manchester Older People’s Network on an exciting new project to set up an Equalities Panel of older people for Greater Manchester. Funded by and working in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the panel will help tackle the structural and organisational prejudice and discrimination that causes inequality and injustice in our society.

Working for a high-profile and well-respected charity which supports Manchester’s thriving VCSE sector, a great candidate will have previous experience and knowledge of developing community projects and a track record of connecting people and building a shared sense of purpose in tackling inequalities and injustice across all communities. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to get their voices heard and making a real difference to the way that people experience services and access their communities. We are looking for someone who is creative and with good understanding of community development approaches. A great collaborator and communicator, you will need to engage with many different people and groups, making connections in large and small organisations, with other GMCA equalities panels and a diverse range of people from all communities.
