Changing patterns of employment and retirement raise major questions for working with older people in the community.  A key focus of this session will be assessing some of the challenges facing people in middle and later life in maintaining or re-entering employment.  The discussion will look at the relevance of current policies to Greater Manchester and interventions relevant to the Ambition for Ageing programme. Particular emphasis will be given to support for people in mid-life, lifelong learning, re-training, self-employment and related areas of intervention.
