Building on the Growing Older in My Greater Manchester event in January (see report here) a series of workshops have taken place during February and March. The workshops brought together older residents of GM and staff from organisations to help design project ideas around four themes (Information & Communications; Culture; Places & Spaces; Economy)

The project ideas created at these sessions will provide ways to invest the £2.5 million available to develop projects and activities that take place at a larger scale than the work that has taken place since the Ambition for Ageing programme started in April 2015. The work that has taken place up until now has been focussed on local neighbourhoods (wards) in 8 local authorities across GM.

The attached reports (at the very bottom of this page) summarise the process that participants were led through during each of the workshops and describe the project ideas that were developed:

These ideas will be researched further for their feasibility and whether they meet the priorities of the Ambition for Ageing programme and will be shared with people at a follow up meeting in April 2017.
