Sharing the learning from a BAME-led partnership tackling social isolation
Join Ageing Better in Camden and Ambition for Ageing to launch exciting new research: Exploring the development and impact of a BAME-led partnership for tackling social isolation among older people.
For the past three years Ageing Better in Camden has funded a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Community Action Project. The BAME CAP set out to develop the capacity of micro-organisations to tackle social isolation and loneliness among older people from small African Heritage communities in Camden.
Our new research explores the success of this partnership model and reveals the impact, lessons learned, and issues to be addressed for the future. Report author Adwoa Manful will share learning from this innovative research alongside other speakers who have been instrumental in developing the BAME CAP.
The event will also feature speakers from Ambition for Ageing in Greater Manchester, who will showcase research and learning from their Ageing Equally project, as well as the opportunity to discuss the issues raised in smaller groups. Full details for all speakers will be confirmed soon.
This event will be on Zoom, a link with joining instructions will be sent out to you prior to the session.
