Social Eating Vacancy: Research Assistant at Talk Listen Change (TLC)
TLC: Talk Listen, Change are looking for a Research Assistant to drive forward our Social Eating programme for older people across Greater Manchester.
Salary: £30,000 FTE (21 hours per week)
Base: Flexible
Closing date: Thursday 21st February 2019
Contract Length: Funded until March 2020
In partnership with seven other organisations, TLC are currently delivering a Greater Manchester Social Eating programme, commissioned by GMCVO in 2018 through Ambition for Ageing funding which lasts until March 2020. TLC are the lead organisation in delivering this contract.
The purpose of the social eating programme is to pilot a range of social eating projects, intended to become sustainable in the longer term, and to use the learning gained through delivery to create a ‘how to’ guide to developing social eating projects. The projects are being delivered in Bury, Bolton, Manchester and Rochdale.
The project has been started, reporting systems set up and delivery through partners is underway.
Initially TLC recruited a Project Manager to set up the programme, however, as the current postholder is now moving into a more senior role in a different organisation, this has given us cause to reflect on whether the role we initially recruited to is still fit for purpose.
As a result, they are now looking for a Research Assistant to monitor and evaluate the social eating projects, analyse impact, extract learning and pull this together into a ‘how to guide’ for others looking to do similar work in future. They will also expect the Research Assistant to carry out project management, being responsible to GMCVO for delivery of the overall programme, coordinating sub-contractors and ensuring performance against agreed targets.
If you wish to apply, please complete the Application Form, Declaration of Health form and Equal Opportunities form attached below and return them to emilywilliams@talklistenchange.org.uk by 5pm on Thursday 21st February 2019. Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 27th February.
