Social Isolation and Older Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic People in Greater Manchester
Current research shows that social isolation among older BAME people in GM takes on different forms according to a range of factors and may be influenced by an individual’s particular ethnic background.
This report - written by MICRA's Camilla Lewis and Natalie Cotterell - explores the risk and protective factors of social isolation amongst BAME groups. It concludes that fuuture research must acknowledge variations across and within BAME groups, as well as exploring other factors, including existing gender and class differences.
