Videos from the GM Older People's Network Mayoral Hustings

It's almost time for Greater Manchester to elect our first ever mayor. As the hustings come to a close, we can reflect on the pledges and views have been shared by candidates as they seek to secure votes on Thursday 4th May.

To see some of the candidates in action, here are three short films made at the recent Greater Manchester Older People's Network event, featuring invited candidates: Sean Anstee, Conservative; Jane Brophy, Liberal Democrat; Andy Burnham, Labour; and Will Paterson, Green.

Click here to see their responses to questions from the audience on homes, transport, health and social care.

Some really interesting questions were put to candidates on issues such as where the new mayor will have powers and influence. Allison at Macc has kept a log of all the questions that were submitted to inform the wider issues that interest the GMOPN beyond the scope of the devolution debate.

And great news for the GMOPN - it has firmly established a commitment to on-going dialogue with mayoral candidates beyond the date of the election in May!
