Rochdale

The Rochdale Ambition for Ageing Programme is a unique partnership of community based organisations, led by Kashmir Youth Project (KYP).

The partners consist of CVS Rochdale, Bangladesh Association and Community Project, Demesne Community Centre and Meadowfields Community Centre. Together, the partnership aims to develop creative approaches to reducing social isolation for older people in the three wards of Rochdale; Central Rochdale, West Middleton and Firgrove/Smallbridge.

Older people are playing a major role in the design of the programme and are generating real and sustainable change in their communities by identifying local assets and choosing where investment should be made.
